Each spring and fall the College hosts a Leadership Advance. This provides leaders in the church a time of encouragement in their walk with God, an environment to talk with their colleagues and an opportunity to think and strategize how they can lead their churches to an even greater impact.
With, Within, Between, Beyond: Reimagining Connections for Leaders
“The emotionally unhealthy leader is someone who operates in a continuous state of emotional and spiritual deficit, lacking emotional maturity and a “being with God” sufficient to sustain their “doing for God.” (Peter Scazzero, The Emotionally Healthy Leader)
Jesus extends an invitation to us all, “Come to me.” In this fall’s Leadership Advance, we will lead men and women to reimagine their connections
- with God as our Center,
- within ourselves for growing awareness of all that’s going on beneath the surface that impacts our behaviors,
- between ourselves and others to facilitate loving relationships–especially those closest to us in family, friendship, and work relationships,
- beyond ourselves with our communities to show the world Jesus and fulfill His mission in this place, in this time.
