South Range Christian Church has been ministering since 1867 roughly 20 minutes from the town of Digby in Nova Scotia. We are a congregation of approximately 80 regular attenders of all ages who meet weekly for encouragement, teaching, and fellowship with other believers in Jesus Christ. We have a spacious facility and our services are mostly contemporary music with a worship band. SRCC has two mid-week youth ministries for Grades Primary to Five and Grades Six to Twelve, two adult Bible Studies (seasonally), a year-round Sunday School for all ages, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Weekly sermons, and occasional special speaking as needed (special services outside of Sunday morning)
  • Plan and implement lessons, games, and Monthly Fun Nights for the mid-week Youth Group for Grades 6-12 (with help from volunteers) from Sept. – May
  • Plan and implement a ministry for our College and Career age (potentially including Pre-College)
  • Rotational turn in Adult Sunday School lead
  • Regular visitation with seniors in their homes, and hospital/senior home visits as needed
  • Perform marriages and funeral services as needed

This is a senior leadership role that requires a mature faith in Jesus Christ, deep passion for people and strong leadership skills. This person will be the primary leader, teacher, and vision caster and will have a broad responsibility for the spiritual welfare, growth and life of the church in all areas including discipleship, evangelism, and equipping the congregation for service. Discovery Community Christian Church (DC3) is located in a large multi-cultural urban community west of Toronto. The current worship style at HCC is guitar-driven, contemporary sound. Instruments generally used in worship now include, but are not limited to, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums/beat-box, synthesizer & keyboard.


The Worship & Arts Director of Halifax Christian Church is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the Sunday gathering experience including music, sound, visual and creative arts are done with excellence in order to honour God and inspire our people. The Director is responsible to plan and implement the praise and worship component of all HCC gatherings.


  • Lead a team of volunteers in the creation and operation of all aspects of praise and worship for Sunday gatherings.
  • Primary Worship Leader and Musician
    • Lead the majority of praise and worship in most worship gatherings (2 – 3 times per month).
    • Lead the planning and execution of upcoming gatherings including different formats and forms of musical and creative expression
    • Lead the praise team practice on a consistent evening each week (Currently Monday evenings).
    • Ensure all necessary positions are filled for gatherings.
  • Develop and Maintain all Worship & Creative Arts Teams
    • Recruit, audition, train, encourage and ensure the spiritual care of all teams – musicians, vocalists, audio-visual presentation, sound, video and creative arts; allowing for a healthy rotation of team members. We do not encourage or permit teams of one as it leads to discouragement and burn out.
    • Lead a “Planning Team” that meets weekly to create thematic gatherings
    • Develop and disciple a team of assistants to lead various roles in the ministry (i.e. Sound Team Leader, AV Team Leader)
    • Oversee application/interview of new volunteers for Worship & Arts Teams
    • Conduct meetings and team training as needed
    • Oversee “Planning Center Online” and “Pro-Presenter” software, ensuring that they are kept up to date.
    • Plan and manage Worship & Arts budget
    • Oversee equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacement purchases
    • Ensure the stage is kept clean and organized
    • Attend staff meetings as required


This position requires a strong musical and creative background and ministry experience, preferably with a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a music/worship ministry leadership capacity. The successful individual will be a strong leader with a solid work ethic, possess a passion for leading others in praising God, a strong love for music, creativity and excellence. He or she should also have the heart of a life-long learner and want to continue the development of their gifts and skills. This person should be a baptized believer who agrees with the mission, vision, values, and beliefs of HCC. This position reports to the Lead Pastor.


The Worship & Arts Director position is a part-time position that will encompass approximately 15-20 hours per week.

It is understood that like any member of Halifax Christian Church, the candidate will offer volunteer hours in addition to their employment. The candidate is expected to be part of a Life Group at HCC.

The Leonardville Church of Christ, located on Deer Island in New Brunswick Canada, is praying for a Preacher to move into our fishing community and work with us in continuing to build up the kingdom of God spiritually and numerically.

The work here is approximately 130 years old. The number of regular worshippers for our Sunday Service is between 60 and 70 with an average attendance of 50-55. These numbers increase when we take into account our Sunday School children.

Besides these ministries, we have a Junior Church Program, Youth Meetings and Small Groups. We also share in the ownership of Bayview Christian Camp on the Island which hosts four camps each summer.

Position Overview

FULL-TIME SENIOR PASTOR for a 6 year-old, multi-ethnic church in an urban setting.

Our Church:  Common Ground Church in Tampa, Florida, located in the Seminole Heights area, minutes from downtown Tampa, is a family of believers which averages in the low to mid 100s each Sunday and comes from varied ethnic, economic and personal backgrounds and finds its unity and “common ground” in Christ.
